Getting Started

Everything you need
to go live in minutes.

Two things to set up. Once done, any match at your club can be streamed live to YouTube with your score overlay — directly from someone's phone.

What you'll need
A YouTube channel with live streaming enabled
Free to set up. Your stream key is a private code from YouTube Studio — you'll paste it once into the app and it's saved for every future match.
📱
An Android phone (any mid-range or better)
The Cricast app runs entirely in the background as a foreground service — optimised for battery, screen-off streaming, and sustained 4G/5G upload. No expensive camera kit needed.
🏏
Your club key (from your club page)
A short code like whalers-cc-01 that filters the app to show only your club's matches. Find it on your club's Cricast page.
Step 1
YouTube Stream Key
Get your HLS stream key from YouTube Studio. This is what connects the Cricast camera app directly to your YouTube channel's live stream. Takes about 2 minutes — you only do it once per channel.

Step 2
📱
Android Streaming App
Install the Cricast app on your Android phone. It turns your phone into a dedicated streaming camera — with the live score overlay baked in. Battery-optimised with screen-off streaming so your phone lasts a full match.
